MY PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY

My name is Obed Abbo.

I was born in the Netherlands into an entrepreneurial family. Ambition, responsibility, and high expectations were part of daily life from an early age. That environment shaped how I think about work. Results matter. People matter. And clarity is what allows both to grow without friction.

At eighteen, while studying Marketing and Management in Amsterdam, I started working in telemarketing for a financial services firm. Performance came quickly. Within two years, I helped grow the team to five call center agents and took responsibility for training, coaching, and improving structure and consistency. This was my first experience working inside an organization where results depended not on effort alone, but on alignment, clarity, and leadership.

After graduating in 2007, I deliberately chose to broaden my perspective by living and working abroad. Over the following years, I worked in five different countries. In Australia, I supported a music organization in strengthening its marketing strategy. Together, we grew their student base by more than thirty percent within nine months. That experience confirmed something fundamental for me. Effective marketing is not about noise. It is about focus, relevance, and execution that fits the context.

When I returned to the Netherlands, I joined Kalff Fundraising as a Team Leader and was promoted to Senior Coach within eighteen months. In this role, I trained senior fundraisers and emerging leaders, strengthening both performance and leadership skills. I contributed to large scale fundraising campaigns that raised millions of euros for organizations such as Greenpeace, UNICEF, and Amnesty International. This period deepened my understanding of how systems, messaging, and leadership behavior directly influence outcomes at scale.

My name is Obed Abbo.

In 2014, I began working independently as a Marketing Strategist. Over the years, I supported entrepreneurs, teams, and organizations in clarifying their positioning, strengthening their marketing foundations, and making better decisions under growth pressure. While traveling, I supported more than 1,700 entrepreneurs through online programs, group workshops, and speaking engagements. I have spoken at conferences and organizations such as the Citizen Circle Conference, New Work Moms, Dojo Coworking, BaliSpirit Festival, and The Green School, and WeWork.

In 2022, I stepped into applied Artificial Intelligence for marketing. Not as a trend, but as a practical tool to support better thinking, faster execution, and consistent quality inside teams. I completed multiple AI trainings and applied these tools in real projects to improve research, sharpen messaging, streamline content workflows, and support decision making. Always with human judgment remaining central.

From March 2024 until September 2025, I led the marketing team at a global mindfulness platform serving over 140,000 students worldwide. In this role, I developed campaigns, guided marketing specialists, and wrote the weekly newsletter for thousands of subscribers. I worked closely with the founder, embedding into the organization to bring structure, clarity, and calm execution as complexity increased. Artificial Intelligence was used to accelerate processes and improve quality, without sacrificing tone, trust, or ownership.

Today, I work primarily with founders and teams who want marketing to feel grounded, structured, and supportive rather than reactive. As a Marketing & AI Strategist, I integrate into teams to sharpen priorities, strengthen execution, and translate strategy into daily decisions that hold under pressure.

Alongside this work, I continue to support passionate entrepreneurs, whose work requires both commercial clarity and human integrity.
